The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my latest trip at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I encountered behind its threshold was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

From the moment I walked in , it was evident that hygiene was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of uncleaned spills and dirty bathrooms permeated the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of excrement , putrefaction and illness . The bar area , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The toilet was in even worse condition — clogged , with a cracked flush mechanism and walls covered in what I can only assume was human waste .

For a business that serves drinks , these issues are entirely inappropriate and raise serious concerns about the safety of the food and drinks .
